GEM (Green Eyed Māori) Cuisine is about creating fresh kai fusions. Drawing from our genealogical roots of Māori, Rarotongan and European, GEM Cuisine is about the connection of all of these ancestry lines to create fresh kai fusions that are handcrafted to perfection. GEM Cuisine is a whānau affair run by a young couple Tihema Johnson (our Green Eyed Māori Chef) and Renee Wikaire.
Every Saturday at the Gisborne Farmers Market GEM are serving up warm donuts and their own special breakfast donut burgers with bacon, egg, hash brown, and cheese with creamy mushroom sauce and tomato relish.
